Rashes and Skin Problems

The providers at SHS commonly diagnose and treat a variety of skin problems including acne, warts, staph infections, scabies, shingles, herpes, eczema, and allergy or contact related rashes.

In some cases a referral to a dermatologist may be necessary.

Skin Care Recommendations for dry / sensitive skin

  1. Take warm (not hot) showers and baths using a gentle skin cleanser, such as Cetaphil, instead of soap.
  2. After showering or bathing, apply CeraVe moisturizer. Reapply moisturizer as needed throughout the day and at bedtime.
  3. Use gentle fragrance free laundry detergent, such as all free and clear
