About Student Health Services

The purpose of Student Health Services is to provide quality health care in an ambulatory setting.

Our mission is to support wellness, to provide early diagnosis and treatment of the conditions which our students have or develop while in attendance at the College. Additionally, we hope to develop in our students an awareness of the importance of regular health maintenance, and how to utilize available health care in a timely and cost effective manner.

Our ultimate and most far reaching goal is to encourage the healthiest lifestyle for our students in body, mind and spirit.

In concert with the proactive educational goals of the College, preventive medicine is taught at every possible opportunity. A comprehensive and holistic approach is taken deriving resources from our staff of nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and physicians with referral to sub-specialists in varying medical and ancillary fields as needed. Student Health Services works closely with other areas of the campus, enlisting the aid of all Divisions of Student Affairs including: Counseling and Substance Abuse Services, the Office of Victim Services, Residence Life and Housing, and Student Life. Student Health Services staff also work closely with concerned professors, Deans and the Athletic Department.
