Tuberculin Skin Test

Tuberculin (TB) skin tests not required for Admission

The College of Charleston no longer requires tuberculin (TB) skin tests for admission. However you may need to have a TB skin test (also called PPD) performed for participation in student teaching, medical volunteer work, or as part of a travel physical. If you do need a TB skin test, you should schedule a nurse visit. TB skin tests are placed on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and need to be read at a follow-up nurse visit 48 to 72 hours later. Call 843.953.5520 with any questions and to schedule a nurse visit.
